In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many couples are having to rethink and re-imagine their wedding plans to accommodate smaller, more intimate gatherings that are far closer to home. This is exactly what Gabrielle Dowding of Black Swan Events helped newlyweds Anupriya and Sachin to do for their 2020 boutique wedding in Beaverton, OR.

Scaled down and slightly modified to take place in the family’s garden, the event proved to be just as beautiful and romantic as originally intended, yet but with a few unexpected surprising benefits that arose unexpectedly. Personal touches that would have otherwise been impractical for a much larger wedding, such as handwritten notes and place cards, DIY decor and family’s home cooking, only added to the wedding’s charm and authenticity, ensuring that the newlyweds and their loved ones enjoyed an intimate celebration full of connection, love, and support that they will treasure for years to come.
