AN ECO-FRIENDLY WEDDING VENUE THAT IS SURE TO IMPRESS
Resting atop a quiet cliff-side along the Columbia River Gorge sits one of the most private and picturesque eco-friendly wedding venues in the Pacific Northwest. With breathtaking views of the river below, the newly renovated Prindle Mountain Overlook & Flower Farm in Washougal, WA offers a stunningly serene experience for couples celebrating (and elevating) their union outdoors. Intrigued and excited to learn more, we spoke with Madi Erion of the mother-daughter duo who are bringing their passion for natural landscapes and sustainability to the PNW wedding community.
As if the “above it all” majesty of the Overlook weren’t enough for nature lovers, a portion of the five acres making up Prindle Mountain’s property is also a working flower farm. Among the perennial garden plantings are species native only to the Pacific Northwest, and densely planted clover used as ground cover in place of sod; this eco-friendly wedding venue provides local pollinator support while enriching soil fertility and reducing the need for extra water or synthetic nutrients that can generate harmful runoff.
By also owning an environmental construction business that prioritizes habitat restoration and wildlife conservation, Madi’s family is able to operate the flower farm with eco-based practices that put the planet first. Additionally, any tools and landscaping materials found throughout this eco-friendly wedding venue are likely to have been repurposed for a new life at the Overlook.
Also known as “Persephone Point,” the Overlook’s recently expanded and re-imagined staging area now awaits couples seeking the spectacular backdrop of the Columbia River with space for up to 200 guests. To keep visitors comfortable and provide for every unique wedding vision, the venue offers event accommodations such as a getting-ready suite, multiple restrooms, outdoor kitchenette and private vehicle parking. Couples are also invited to include the Overlook’s antique bell tower in their celebration and ring out their love across the gorge.

What’s new in 2022? This eco-friendly wedding venue will be hosting a Boutique Wedding Show on May 22nd to debut its revamped grounds where attendees can explore the site, meet other amazing PNW wedding professionals and plan their own wedding adventure on Prindle Mountain.
